Der Bahnhof Buxtehude liegt in Niedersachsen. Der Bahnhof von Buxtehude wurde im Jahr 1881 mit der Eisenbahnstrecke Cuxhaven–Hamburg eröffnet. Seit dem Jahr 1928 ist auch eine Strecke nach Harsefeld vorhanden. Diese Strecke wird von der Buxtehude-Harsefelder Eisenbahn befahren. Um auch noch eine S - Bahn einsetzen zu können musste der Bahnhof umgebaut werden. Die Bahnsteige am Bahnhof Buxtehude mussten angepasst werden da sie zu hoch waren. Außerdem entstanden am Bahnhof Buxtehude auch noch Park + Ride - Anlagen sowie ein neuer Busbahnhof. Seit dem gibt es nun auch einen reibungslosen Ablauf zwischen der Bahn und dem Busverkehr. Durch den Bahnhof Buxtehude fahren Metronom-Züge, S-Bahnen, EVB-Züge sowie diverse Güterzüge.
Sie verbinden die Städte Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Cuxhaven und die Orte auf der Strecke.
The Buxtehude station is located in Lower Saxony. The station of Buxtehude was opened in 1881 with the railway Cuxhaven and Hamburg. Since the year 1928 a route to Harsefeld is available. This section is traversed by the Buxtehude-Harsefelder railway. So that an S-Bahn be able to use Railroad tracks had to be rebuilt the station.
