Some say that this is the longest continually running farmers' market in Ontario. It has been going since 1801 and is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from April to November.
The market is located in Springer Market Square behind City Hall. About 10 years ago the City completed a massive renovation which removed the parking lot and created a beautiful square for the market and summer activities. In the winter the City installs a skating rink here.
Vendors sell local produce, prepared foods, garden plants and flowers, and handmade crafts. On Sundays there is an antique market.
