As the plaque reads:
In 1908 the railway was completed to Waldheim. The railway station in Waldheim was built in 1912 by the Canadian Northern Railway. It is one of three built just like it but is the only one that remains on its original site.
In December of 1982 the building was declared a heritage property. From the outside it looks as it did when it was built, with renovatons only to the inside. It has been a library and a museum since March of 1994.
