County of display: St. Louis Independent City
Location of display: Lafayette Park, St. Louis

I have not found when or by whom these pieces were erected. The effects showing on the barrels may be because they were recovered from the Mississippi.
I would rather believe that, that believe they are in such shape because of neglect.

Cannon 1 (Spanish Garrison Cannon): Detail can be read thepiraeking.com

Cannon 2 (18-pounder carronade) & Cannon 3 (17th century Spanish Iron Cannon): you can read all at du.edu

"The cannons, two "Long Toms" and a "Carronade," were part of the munitions of the 50-gun British frigate "Acteon. The ship entered Charleston Harbor in 1776 to bomb Fort Moultrie but went aground and was quickly attacked by American ships which bombed its magazine and sunk it. The cannons where later retrieved and sold. The three presented to Lafayette Park were bought by the Missouri Commander of the Loyal Legion." ~ St. Louis Parks Division
