The gate provides entry into the fenced area where the Clan Macpherson Memorial Cairn is located. The gate is constructed of black metal with swirl designs. At the top of the gate is the Clan Macpherson emblem in black and gold with the clan's motto "Touch Not the Cat But a Glove." Below the emblem are the years 1764 and 1996 in gold: 1764 reflects the year of death of Ewan Macpherson of Cluny for whom the cairn is dedicated, and 1996 reflects the year the cairn was placed.
Although the cairn is located on private property, visitors are welcome.
