Bei Baumaßnahmen um 1910 stieß man in 460m Höhe auf eine der höchstgelegenen Quellen der Pfalz und friedete sie ein. Die Trinkwasserquelle ist Heinrich Holder gewidmet, einem der Gründer des PWV. Daneben befindet sich eine Schutzhütte. Der Stein über der neuen Quelleinfassung trägt folgende Inschrift:
"Ich möchte nicht im Tal verderben,
den letzten Blick beengt von Zwang,
auf einem Berge möcht ich sterben
beim goldnen Sonnenuntergang".
This spring was discovered around 1910. With 460m it is one of the highest located springs in the area. It was named after Heinrich Holder, one of the founders of the local hiking club PWV. The old spring was replaced by a newer one (see photos). There is a small piece of lyric engraved now. It is drinking water. Nearby there is a small shelter hut.
