This is one of the most "out of place" graves one can imagine and it will be easy to overlook it if one doesn't know the story...
It happened during the Korean War: a group of children from North Korea was brought to Poland, apparently as war refugees, perhaps orphans, nobody knows. Also for undetermined reasons the operation was covered with secrecy.
Locals would know, of course, but the presence of the kids was always shadowy and the authorities gave no explanations. Eventually the children were returned to Korea, a couple of years after the end of the war. But one stayed behind. The girl died in Wroclaw in 1995, aged 13. And she was buried in the city cemetery. Here.
