ROBERT W. COLE BOUGHT THREE LOTS ON THE
EAST SIDE OF THE PARK IN 1919. HE HIRED
J.C. HOWELL, A LOCAL ARCHITECT, TO DESIGN THE
TWO-STORY BUILDING, AND ROBERT FULTZ WAS
THE BUILDER. CONSTRUCTION STARTED IN JUNE
OF 1919, AND FINISHED IN SEPTEMBER OF THAT
YEAR, WHEN MR. COLE OPENED A GENERAL
STORE. IN THE 1940'S, THE BUILDING HOUSED
A SPROUSE-REITZ 5 & 10 CENT STORE, AND
LATER LARRY GLAZMAN'S BOOTBARN.
