Visitors to the El Malpais National Monument near Grants NM can hike on 8 of the 75-mile Zuni-Acoma trail that connected the Zuni and Acoma Pueblos for over a thousand years.
The coordinates are for the parking area off the NM 53 at the west end of the trail.
Be warned: this is a flat but EXTREMELY RUGGED hike over exposed lava beds and through very rough terrain. DO YOUR HOMEWORK before hiking this area, and bring lots of water.
