To Blasterz, the La Puerta Lodge appears like it (like so much along Central Avenue) is in transition between the "rough" Central Ave of the recent past and the "renovated retro-cool" Central Ave of the future.
Blasterz are not sure if the motel host travelers or long-term residents, but we did see cars and folks sitting on the porches in front of some of the rooms.
La Puerta is one of the oldest auto courts along Route 66, now that the Aztec has ben demolished.
