Twisters Ice Cream is the perfect combination - wonderful ice cream creations and the scenic view of the Mystic River.
There is no indoor seating at the counter-only ice cream parlor, but plenty of tables in the shade or on the deck at river's edge. It is connected by a gravel walkway to the Sea View Snack Bar which has its own seating area and servers a good assortment of seafood dishes from the counter.
Twisters offers two flavors of soft-serve ice cream but an amazing array of toppings for many unique combinations. For those who long for dipped cones, there is not only the traditional chocolate dipped cones, but also butterscotch and cherry dipped cones.
