The Boston Tea Party (
visit link) was a political protest which escalated into the beginning of the American Revolution. One of the ships boarded in the protest is commemorated here.
"This plaque is mounted on the William Tallman Warehouse at the foot of Centre Street in New Bedford. The plaque has a relief depiction of the ship and reads:
