Bridge 182 & 42 is located on the route of the Northern Central Railway. It is a single span arch bridge which crosses over roadway route PA 616, and the Codorus Creek.
The bridge constructed in 1871 by the Pennsylvania Railroad, is only one of a small number of masonry arch bridges on railroads in York County.
The Northern Central Railroad closed it's operations many years ago, and today, the bridge and railroad bed is used as a rail-trail for the Heritage Rail Trail County Park, owned by York County.
The bridge remains in good condition.
