The geological formation of the Stone Bridge dates back 10,000 years to the time of the last glaciation. A sub-glacial river, trying to make their way under the ice sheet, managed to drill a passage under the roc.A favor breaks or cracks in it, the upper part of this passage, in the form of small tunnel, is now the arch of the bridge. He poured a lot of water below since that time and is still there.
La formation géologique du Pont de Pierre remonte à 10 000 ans, à l'époque de la dernière glaciation. Une rivière sous-glacière, cherchant à se frayer un chemin sous la calotte de glace, parvint à percer un passage sous le roc.A la faveur des cassures ou des fêlures de ce dernier, la partie supérieure de ce passage, en forme de petit tunnel, constitue aujourd'hui l'arche de ce pont. Il a beaucoup coulé d'eau en dessous depuis ce temps-là et il est toujours là.
