Norchard offers free parking and also is home to the Norchard Steam Centre. There is also a shop selling gifts, second-hand books and there are toilets.
There used to be a colliery and power station at Norchard. Today, the station consists of two platforms. The upper platform is used regularly for trains passing between Parkend and Lydney and the lower platform is used for special events and the start and end of the days.
