The plaque says,

"1769 - Portola Expedition enters what is now Orange County.
1821 - California under Mexican Rule.
1842 - Rancho Canada de los Alisos granted to Don Jose Serrano; future site of Heritage Hill Historical Park.
1850 - California statehood.
1862 - Drought destroys local cattle industry.
1864 - First record of Don Jose Adobe.
1888 - Railroad service expands into Aliso City, now El Toro.
1889 - Orange County established.
1890 - El Toro Grammer School constructed.
1891 - St. George Episcopal Mission constructed.
1908 - Harvey Bennett Ranch House constructed.
1932 - Don Jose Serrano Adobe Undergoes extensive restoration.
1974 - Heritage Hill Park site deeded to Orange County.
1982 - Heritage Hill Historic park dedicated.
1985 - This Oak tree fell at the intersection of Trabuco Road and Serrano Creek in El Toro and is estimated to be over one hundred and fifty years old."
