This sign is mounted at an old restaurant in the north of Hölstein. The sign is a white horse, according to the restaurant name.
The restaurant was built around 1680, it is one of the oldest in the area and a listed cultural heritage site. It was abandoned for some years and in a very poor condition, it was even on the red list of the most endangered historic sites.
Some years ago (after 2004) it was sold and the new owners renovated the building. The old restaurant is now a music bar, it opens only about once a week, but it can also be rented for events. The top floor now house offices and a children's day care.
