Francis Bloodgood Hall was born on Nov. 16, 1827 and died on Oct. 4, 1903.

He was a Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. His Medal was awarded to him on February 16, 1897.

"He served during the Civil War as the Chaplain of the 16th New York Volunteer Infantry, and was awarded the CMOH for his bravery during the Union assault on Salem Heights, Virginia during the Battle of Chancellorsville on May 3, 1863. His citation reads "Voluntarily exposed himself to a heavy fire during the thickest of the fight and carried wounded men to the rear for treatment and attendance"."
