This is is a concrete arch bridge, crossing the Big Shawnee Creek, on County Road 140 East, in Shawnee Township, Fountain County, Indiana.

This bridge is located on County Road 140 East, a blacktop road, otherwise known as East Shawnee Lane, just north of Indiana State Road 55. According to Bridgehunter (visit link) it was Built about 1930, and is of closed spandrel concrete arch construction.

Its length is approximately 104 feet. It has a concrete deck, with a posted weight limit of 8 Tons.

The condition of this interesting old bridge is structurally deficient, according to Bridgehunter (visit link) but appears to have been repaired, recently, with new concrete apparent.

Shawnee Township is one of eleven townships in Fountain County, Indiana, United States. (visit link)
