As with all churches of this age, this C13th to C15th parish church, dedicated to All Saints and Grade II* listed, has had many alterations and additions. The west tower was added in 1732 and the north aisle, north porch and north vault are C19th.
The font is C13th, probably the original made when the church was built, has an octagonal bowl of Purbeck marble with each face with two shallow sunk and pointed panels. These would have originally been decorated with a floral motif. The octagonal stem and round shafts supporting the bowl are C19th.
The font has an octagonal-based wooden cover surmounted with curved, pierced fillets ending in a truncated peak. This was given in memory of Richard Cornell Isted who was "baptised here January 1934, at rest November 1956", recorded in one of the faces of the base. The rest of the faces show carved floral motifs.
The co-ordinates are for the north porch entrance.
