The West Theatre, is the Last theatre in Grants, New Mexico. The theatres Googie Neon sign and flashing Star has been attracting Route 66 travellers since the Theatre opened in 1959. West's is still attracting customers from the good folks of Grants, and present day Historic Route 66 travellers seeking nostalgic locations, before they disappear.

"The West Theatre is the last of the three theatres in operation in Grants. The West Theatre was originally a single screen theatre that was converted to a twin. The balcony was converted to the second screen.
It is located on Santa Fe Avenue (Old Route 66) at First Street. The theatre is a two story building with the top portion painted an off white and the lower section at street level painted a burnt orange. It has a small V shaped marquee with a vertical spelling out “West” and a large flashing star on the top." text Source: (visit link)

"Here is the cool neon marquee for the West Theatre along old Route 66 in Grants, New Mexico. It's nice to see some of these old movie houses still going. These definitely are a part of our American heritage. Places like this were THE place to be on a Friday night in many towns across this country. In some towns, it's still like that.'
