This bench is located near the historical marker and CCC statue in the area where a former CCC camp once stood. It is appropriately placed because Mr. Schall worked with the Civilian Conservation Corp during the years that the camp was open at Devil's Lake. The plaque on the bench reads:
Dedicated to Larry Schall who served at Devil’s Lake in the CCC 1934-1940 by his loving family.
