About 1½ miles south of Polson on the east side of Highway is a roadside viewpoint with some informational signs. They tell of a Salish creation story related to what one sees at the viewpoint.

At this viewpoint one is a couple of miles south of the south end of Flathead Lake, looking north at the lake and the surrounding mountains. Altogether it's a pretty nice view, one of the better views of the lake that is easily accessible.
