This is the start, or the end depending on your viewpoint, of the walking trail for the Electric Trolley Trail aka the Rochester, Syracuse and Eastern Rapid Railroad, which is now officially known as the Perinton Hike-Bikeway trail.

There are several section to this trail, this being the longest that you can hike & bike on, and is about 5 miles long from the start here till the end on Pannell Rd.

The trail used to end on the other side of the canal as the old RR bridge here was torn town many years ago, but in 2012 a new pedestrian walkway, with a ramp for bikers, was built to connect the North end of this trail to the Erie Canal trail.
Trail Name: Rochester, Syracuse and Eastern trail

Approximate Length of Bridge: 100
