This fun mosaic was created by the school children of Grand Marais and was mounted on the west wall of Johnson’s Grocery Store just this year. The themes include a wilderness scene with moose, beaver, turtles, and loons; waterfalls such those seen along the north shore state parks, and the Grand Marais harbor with its lighthouse, sailboats, seagulls, and campground. Different shaped pieces of tile, glass, and stone were used in this project.
