This was on top of a building that most likely was the old firehouse for the town.

In Jamestown's downtown section is this building with a weathervane showing the shape of a horse-drawn steam fire wagon.

The building is located on Narragansett Avenue, at the intersection with Coronado Street. This building is next to the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department building, which has five bays. This one is wide enough for only one piece of equipment. Thus, I am guessing that this building was the previous firehouse. There are other memorials in front, including one for 9-11.

The weathervane is on top of a pointed roof on a tower on the front left corner of the building. The vane has four cardinal points - in approximately the right directions. The arrow has the shape of a steam powered fire wagon with two firemen riding on it. A horse is running, pulling the wagon.
