The station is just up School Road about one block above Wellington Place, which, in turn, is the first street above the railway tracks at this point.
An all volunteer department, it may or may not have been annexed to the Sam Owen Fire District, as the town was discussing the possibility in 2013. The fire department has an automatic aid agreement with Sam Owen Fire District and Clark Fork Fire. This fire hall houses four
firefighting vehicles, consisting of a pumper, a pumper tender, a brush truck and a rescue/extrication vehicle as well as an ambulance.
