This USGS benchmark is at the elementary school in the historic old town of Philipsburg. The School is on Schnepel Road, one block west of South Sansome Street toward the south end of town.

INTERSECTION OF BROADWAY AND SONSOM (Sansome). GO SOUTH ON SONSOM (Sansome) WHICH IS OLD HWY 10 TO TOP OF HILL APPROX 0.1 MILE. GO WEST 1 BLOCK TO GRADESCHOOL.
NOTE: CONTACT SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION OFFICE TO INFORM THEM OF PRESENCE ON SCHOOL GROUNDS.
