"The new building was opened on 24th September 1913. The architect, Augustus Scott, had designed the church in a gothic style in a similar manner to several of his other East Anglian Churches."

This new building replaced the former Primitive Methodist Building, situated in Chapel Road, which was later used by the Salvation Army, before demolition in the 1950s
