The Brown's Ravine recreation area is home to the Folsom Lake Yacht Club and Folsom Lake Marina. The Folsom Lake Marina has a snack bar, tackle shop, marine supply store, and gas dock - the only gas on the lake. The marina sells small bait and fishing supplies but does not sell fishing licenses.

There are two paved boat ramps, the main ramp and Hobie Cove ramp. The main ramp is a narrow two-lane paved ramp and dock, and the Hobie Cove ramp is a larger multi-lane boat ramp. The Hobie Cover ramp is often non-operational during high water months (April - July), due to fluctuating water levels. The Hobie Cove area is also popular for picnicking, swimming, and shore fishing.

Picnic tables and barbeques are spread throughout the recreational area, and hiking and horse trails are accessible near the park entrance.

During the peak season of April through September, Brown's Ravine is open from 6am to 9pm. The day-use fee is $12 per vehicle and the boat launch fee is $10 per day for powered boats and watercraft. Overnight camping is not available at Brown's Ravine.

The Marina is located at the south end of the lake and has an earth filled breakwater protecting it from the main lake. The Snack Bar and Gas dock is located next to the Marina's main launching ramp. The main ramp has four lanes and two courtesy docks to assist boaters in the launching and retrieval of their boats. Our Hobie Cove ramp is a low water ramp that goes into operation when the lake elevation drops to elevation 435'.

Though the Browns Ravine is operated by a concessionaire, it is still part of the State Park and all State Park fees apply. The entrance station into Browns has a self pay box for the times that no one is at the station. State Annual Passes are sold at the marina office, both during the week and on weekends. The marina office will accept Credit Cards.
