[FR] Elle se situe dans le centre-ville d'Ajaccio, près du port, dans le département de la Corse-du-Sud et la Collectivité territoriale de Corse (CTC).
Construite par l'État, elle est mise en service en 1888 par la Compagnie de chemins de fer départementaux (CFD). C'est une gare des Chemins de fer de la Corse (CFC) desservie par des trains TER Corse circulants entre les gares de Bastia et d'Ajaccio.
Établie à 4 mètres d'altitude, la gare terminus d'Ajaccio est établie au point kilométrique (PK) 157,4 de la ligne de Bastia à Ajaccio (voie unique à écartement métrique), après la halte (arrêt facultatif) des Salines, la première gare est celle de Mezzana.
En 1887, l'État active les travaux de construction et d'aménagement de la « gare d'Ajaccio » afin de permettre l'ouverture de la ligne d'Ajaccio à Mezzana au cours de l'année 1888.

It was constructed by the French government and put into service in 1888 by the Compagnie de chemins de fer départementaux (CFD).
At an elevation of 4 meters, this terminus station is located at kilometer 157,4 (single track meter gage) after the station of Salines (stop upon request).
In 1887, the French government launched the construction of the station in order to allow the opening of the Ajaccio / Mezzana segment during the course of the following year.
