This memorial was given by in 2013 by a generous and anonymous donor came forward to provide the funds to etch names on the back of the plaque at that spot. The YRT Council put the names of trail supporters and volunteers that have gone above and beyond for them, according to their Facebook page, they include:
Dave Tremba
was tireless in promoting the construction of the original trail section, from Ohiopyle to Connellsville. He continuously fought to raise the funds to have it built and went the extra miles to see it through.
Chris Wagner
worked many years as the "point person" to see the North section completed and funds raised for maintenance of the trail. She held many jobs through the years but never forgot YRTC and kept the fire burning to expand and improve.
Frank Decker and Ron Rittenberger
served as the main maintenance men over the years. Both Frank and Ron worked alone to keep the grass cut, the equipment repaired, trees trimmed, and so on.
June Newill
was Chris Wagner's "girl Friday" over the years, along with her regular job with the Connellsville Chamber of Commerce. She was amazing at fund raising and getting sponsors for all the fundraisers YRTC had for many years. June kept helping YRTC even after her retirement from the Chamber.
