"Iniciada em 1705 por João Bezerra De Abreu, passou aos sobrinhos, de onde lhe veio o nome de Casa Dos Abreus. Edifício Barroco Notável pela simetria e horizontalidade, com a fachada dividida em cinco bandas por quatro pares de pilastras jónicas. Contrasta com o classicismo do andar nobre o jogo de rolarias da fenestração do piso térreo. Sobe-se ao andar superior por uma escada de aparato, que se bifurca a partir do lanço intermédio.
Foi residência de burguesia endinheirada, escola industrial, escola do ensino básico e é hoje sede dos serviços centrais do Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo."

"Started in 1705 by João Bezerra De Abreu, and them passed to his nephews, from where one of the names of the house came Casa Dos Abreus Abreus. Remarkable Baroque building and the horizontal symmetry, with the façade divided into five bands by four pairs of Ionic pilasters. Go up to the upper floor by a staircase of apparatus, which bifurcates from the haul through.
It was home to wealthy bourgeoisie and them converted into industrial school, elementary school and is now the central headquarters of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo."
