This U.S. Benchmark is one of two in the Tanquisitos Cemetery which is just south of the South Levee Road, 0.9 miles west of FM 1420, 0.57 miles south of FM 1018 near Santa Monica, Texas.

This Benchmark is against the north fence of the cemetery. The benchmark is mounted on a short 4 inch diameter steel post. It's all painted bright red. There is a tall bright yellow steel witness post east of the benchmark.
