The Opera House is over the Lindsey Auto Parts store located at Commerce St. and Hancock St. Fort Gains, GA

Built in 1880, the New York thespians and singers would spend summers here, fine tuning their shows for Broadway in the fall. Later it was converted into a movie theater. It closed in 1936.
