This is a four sided monument, made of brick, and topped with a cross. The roof is over the bell from the Dr. Martin Luther Slovak Church.

The bell from the Ilasco Slovak LutheranChurch is a symbol to recognize all immigrants who came to Ilasco and ralls County, Missouri

The immigrants came to Ilasco with respect for religion, education, honesty and hard work. They became part of a caring community of proud Americans

The church bell rang every Sunday from Nov. 7, 1911
Until the last service on April 25, 1971
This unique school (1917-1942) taught the language and
culture of their parent's homeland each summer
