Located at within the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum complex are three well-manicured rose gardens: Pat Nixon Rose Garden; The Veterans' Honor Rose Garden; and a new garden named the
All American Honor Garden. This garden contains a memorial and plaque along with many rose plants, some which are very famous for their superior qualities and awards received in various competitions and noted by small plaques in front of each plant. This garden, along with the neighboring Pat Nixon Rose Garden, are a quiet and peaceful addition. Richard and Pat Nixon's graves which are located near this Honor Garden make the surroundings feel even more poignant. Noticeable is the laughter and chatter of visitors to the museum walking out of the Library and then quieting down when they arrive to this garden and nearby graves. This garden is very-well maintained and the memorial and plaque dedicated to the Vietnam Prisoners of War almost goes unnoticed because it blends in with the nearby rose plants and shrubbery. The memorial plaque reads:
ALL AMERICAN HONOR GARDEN
In heartfelt gratitude to
THE VIETNAM PRISONERS OF WAR
Courage * Patriotism * Loyalty
Dedicated on the 40th Anniversary of their
Homecoming Gala hosted by
President and Mrs. Nixon at the White House
MAY 24, 1973
