The best way to approach is to take 1 to the roundabout, then turn back toward the NW.

" Systrafoss in Kirkjubæjarklaustur is a waterfall where the river Fossá falls from the lake Systravatn into the gorge Fossárgil. Down in the gorge is a giant rock, Fossasteinn, that fell from the mountain in a massive thunderstorm in 1830. Beautiful hiking trails are around the waterfall that also lead to lake Systravatn. The view from the mountain top is breathtaking"
