The Memorial Consists of a wooden backboard with a large bronze plaque commemorating the 1914 - 1919 War. A smaller plaque below covers the Second World War. To the left of the plaques a book of remembrance.

"IN HONOURED MEMROY OF MEMBERS OF THE STAFFS OF THE URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE OF ABERDARE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE EUROPEAN WAR"
