The bronze sculpture 'The Great American Horse' is one of a series of three identical cast by Roy Shifrin, a renowned New York sculptor and artist.
The horse was first displayed in the former theme park 'Cypress Gardens' All the parks contents were sold, before the present owners bought the property, The Park is now LEGOLAND Florida.
"The horse was inspired by the traditional American weathervane horses that were used as weather forecasting tools in the 17th and 18th centuries. Originally located at Cypress Gardens, one of Florida’s original, leading theme parks, the horse was acquired by Orange County when Cypress Gardens closed and now stands at the entrance to the newer half of the Center."
