A Dalbeattie Granite stone Cenotaph approx 20 feet high, first dedicated on 11/23/1922 stands at the focus of the Town Center.
At the junction of Cardiff Road and Victoria Square, in Aberdare, Cynon Valley, South Wales.
Inscriptions:
"THEIR NAME LIVETH FOREVER MORE" on the front of the Cenotaph.
"OUR GLORIOUS DEAD.
1914 - 1918
1939 - 1945
AND ALL OTHER CONFLICT" On the reverse of the Cenotaph.
Physical Description:
"CENOTAPH SURMOUNTING TAPERING PILLAR WITH STEPPED CAPITAL, ON WIDE STEPPED BASE. INSCRIPTION IN GILT LETTERING IN WELSH AND ENGLISH.
