Long Description:
This marker is locate at the Robert E. Lee Wayside, near U. S. Route 60 in Buckingham County, Virginia. It was near this spot that General Lee Camped on the night of April 12, 1865, after surrendering his Army of Northern Virginia three days earlier at Appomattox.
