Het volkswoningbouwcomplex Bloemluststraat e.o. werd in 1914-'19 door de Wassenaarsche Bouwvereeniging verwezenlijkt naar plannen van A. Broese van Groenou. Het poortgebouw aan de Bloemluststraat toont in terracotta de naam van de bouwvereniging en het jaartal 1914. Aardige voorbeelden van middenstandswoningen bevinden zich aan de Zijllaan en Santhorstlaan (1923).
From 1914 till 1919 the public housing complex Bloemluststraat and surrounding, was built by the Wassenaar Building Society.
The gatehouse at the Bloemluststraat shows in terracotta the name of the building society (Wassenaarsche Bouwvereeniging )and the year 1914.
Nice examples of middle class homes are at the Zijllaan and Santhorst laan (1923).
