The author of this relief is René Letourneur (Paris, 1898 - Paris, 1990), Grand Prix de Rome in 1926, commissioned between 1935 and 1938 work. René Letourneur has also made a bust of the administrator and surgeon of the hospital, Georges Renon (1875-1942), still visible in the hospital.
This high relief consists of three juxtaposed scenes.
In the center, on a part a bit protruding, is an allegorical female figure, standing, topless, wide garment draped around his waist and legs and held on his left arm, long hair. She puts her right hand on the head of a naked child, asexual, standing at his side. Near his right shoulder is the snake. She holds the left hand of a smooth movement to the scene to its left.

L’auteur de ce relief est René Letourneur (Paris, 1898 – Paris, 1990), grand prix de Rome en 1926, œuvre commandée entre 1935 et 1938. René Letourneur a aussi réalisé le buste de l’administrateur et chirurgien de cet hôpital, Georges Renon (1875-1942), toujours visible à l’hôpital.
Ce haut-relief est constitué de trois scènes juxtaposées.
Au centre, sur une partie un peu en saillie, se trouve une figure allégorique féminine, debout, seins nus, un large vêtement drapé autour des reins et des jambes et maintenu sur son bras gauche, des cheveux longs. Elle pose sa main droite sur la tête d’un enfant nu, asexué, debout à son côté. Près de son épaule droite se trouve le serpent. Elle tend la main gauche d’un mouvement souple vers la scène située à sa gauche.
