Old Main was built in 1858 however the clock was not added to the tower until 1904. The clock was a gift to the college by benefactor Earl W. Oglebay, class of 1869. The clock and tower were restored in 2000-2001.
The clock has a white face with black Roman numerals and black hands. There are tick marks for each minute.
