This planetarium is located in central Jakarta. It is in a park, the "Taman Ismail Marzuki art and science complex", named after a famous Indonesian composer. Construction began in 1964, and there have been several major refurbishments since. In addition to the sky simulation, there is a small telescope in the planetarium.
I can say that the planetarium is popular with school teachers. On the two occasions I visited it was packed with young students on day trips.
