These plaques are in the walkway in the middle of the parking lot for the library. They run up and down the sides of the walkway as you enter the library and civic center.
The plaque says, "The City of Mission Viejo honors and Recognizes the brave and dedicated service provided by the U.S. Armed Forces and in support of their efforts Mission Viejo proudly adopts the men, women, and families of the Headquarters Battalion First Marine Division Camp Pendleton, California."
The plaque was placed in 2006.
