"The family cemetery has about 500 marked graves, the oldest dating back to Cinder Sallas, who was said to have been killed by Indians in 1834. The cemetery is also home to the King, Arnau and Floyd families, who migrated to the area from a settlement in New Smyrna Beach. The plot is also where ancestors of the Singleton seafood restaurant family and Capt. Claude Phillips, an Amoco president, were buried."
