This is an old bookstore in Rua de Santa Catarina, right in the heart of historical Porto. It was founded by Henrique Perdigão, who picked Camões - a classic Portuguese poet from the 16th Century - as its "patronus". When it opened, Perdigão organized the first literary contest and made sure the bookstore would also publish books. In the early years 40 books were therefore published.

The bookstore gained new owners a couple of years ago, after decades in the hands of Perdigão's family.
