The monument consists of a sandstone statue of a soldier grieving at a grave of his comrade-in-arms. On sandstone block there is engraved and gilded sign "DIE HEIMAT IHREN HELDEN" (Country to its Heroes). The sign is in German language as in this part of Czech Republic a German-speaking minority lived. Below the sign 44 names are engraved on the block.
